윈도 비스타 베타 2 설치

롱혼이란 개발 코드 명으로 불렸는데 최근 윈도 비스타라고 정식 이름이 확정되었습니다. 출시 연기를 많이 해서 문제인데 원래 올해 중하반기에 출시 예정이었다가 최근 다시 내년 상반기 (아마도 1-3월)로 연기되었죠. 최근 퍼블릭 베타가 출시되서 깔아봤습니다. 현재 영문, 독일어, 일어 윈도만이 베타로 나와있습니다. 그치만 한글 화일이나 인터넷을 보는데 문제는 없고, 다만 한글로 메뉴가 나와있는 프로그램을 이용할 수 없는 단점이 있습니다 (아직 베타니깐요). 드라이버 문제 때문에 오피스나 인터넷이 주 이용자가 아니신 분들은 설치 후 이용하는데 어려움이 많으리라 생각됩니다.
저도 현재는 XP (x64)가 주 이용 OS이고, 비스타는 잠깐 맛보기로 (사운드 카드 드라이버 설치하는데 애많이 썼습니다다), 비스타에 설치되어 있는 겜은 재미있는게 많더군요 6^^.

XP와 비교해서 시스템 자원을 많이 이용하는게 단점으로 보입니다. 괜찮은 그래픽 카드가 설치되어 있어야 풀기능을 이용할수 있는 것도 그렇구요 (뭐 그래픽이야 일종의 추가 기능이니깐, 큰 문제는 아니라 생각이...). XP의 경우 첫 부팅후 350kb 정도 시스템 메모리를 사용하는데, 비스타의 겨우 750kb 까지 이것도 막 설치 후라 이것저것 다른 것을 설치하면... (어떤분은 1gb가 넘어가신다는 분이...). 그러니 램 2기가는 앞으로 평균이 되어갈지도...
